Initially distinguishing harmony voicing, Darcel Hunter began singing at age 7. She then joined her sisters and enjoyed entertaining as the "Hunter Sisters" throughout Orange County. Eventually she became the front person for the rock band "Tex Humble." Moving to Amador County in 1988 she continued to sing in various projects throughout Amador County and the San Francisco Bay Area. In 2000 she met guitarist Pat Keene. They soon married and have been making music together ever since.
Pat Keene began playing guitar at the age of 12. Forming the opinion that an acoustic guitar can "rock" just as much as an electric, Pat has repeatedly demonstrated this ability in the decades since with several bands throughout the Motherlode region. But Pat also has a softer side, and has composed a number of new-age instrumental pieces utilizing Celtic guitar tuning.
Jon Joscelyn began playing the String Bass at age 8. As a young adult Jon found himself in unique opportunities that allowed him to work on stage with the likes of Dolly Parton, Charlie Pride, Stevie Ray Vaughn, and Carlos Santana. Prior to moving to Amador County 8 years ago, Jon lived in Lassen County where he was a founding member of the Susanville Symphony. Jon's playing adds a unique and enthralling dimension to The Darcel Trio and often compells many in the audience to get up and dance.
